Google rolt ‘AI-modus’ uit in Nederland

Zoek krijgt een AI-turbo.
Tabje erbij, antwoorden direct.
Ook met stem en camera.
Nederland is nu aan.

The feature is available as a tab on the search results page and within the Google app on both the App Store and Google Play.

Users will be able to pose complex questions and assign tasks, such as generating a table comparing various coffee brewing methods, with the new feature. Google says the AI mode can also handle follow-up queries, for example, “What is the optimal grind size for each method?”

This feature has been available in the United States, the United Kingdom, and India since July. According to Google, it can now be used in over 200 countries and regions worldwide.

Google has already been providing AI-generated summaries on certain topics, which include links to sources and ads. In the new AI tabs, some links will appear as footnotes, with the three main sources highlighted in a side column.

One standout addition to the AI feature is “Search Live,” which lets users get information instantly through voice commands or their camera. For instance, snapping a photo of an object allows the AI mode to offer details, including potential recipes or practical uses.
